Hooray! It is finally here! Our newest Orange Level curriculum: Foundations & Fundamentals. This program is a secular, multi-sensory, complete curriculum based on child development that will get your child started off with reading, writing, and math in the best way possible!
Foundations & Fundamentals is designed to work not only for typical children but also for those with learning differences. Designed to be done when your child is ready, this program is set up to teach the entire alphabet in just 16 lessons! Why? Because so many parents I have talked to feel that taking a whole school year to get through the alphabet once was tedious. This program makes it so your child can learn these foundational skills efficiently. And then move on to the next thing!
Foundations & Fundamentals is going to help your child learn phonics, handwriting, foundational math skills, animal facts, and days of the week while exploring colors, learning shapes, cooking food, using social skills, their five senses, reciting rhymes and much more! How can we cover so much? We give you a great children’s picture book to read each week, and then build off that story to create a unit around it.
Supporting Your Unique Child
This newest program is going to be available in a format for right-handed kids, left-handed kids and those who need their handwriting pages a little bigger due to motor control or vision issues! Because every child should have an education that is tailored to them! Each Student Workbook is specifically designed to support learning just the way your child needs. Our Right-Handed Student workbook is called Tangerine. The Left-Handed Student WorkBook is called Apricot, and the version with extra large handwriting pages is called Pumpkin.
Purchase the Teacher’s Guide and whichever Student Workbook your child needs! Each is available as a PDF so you can print as many or few of the pages as you need for your family!

Laura Sowdon, OTR/L is an occupational therapist, writer, speaker, educator and creator of the Five Senses Literature Lessons homeschool curriculum. She has worked as an occupational therapist with children in public and private schools, as well as private practice. Laura has taught and managed homeschool co-ops as well as homeschooling her own three children. Laura is dedicated to the idea of educating children at a pace that aligns with brain and physical development milestones and respects neurodiversity in all its forms.
